School Occupational Therapist | San Jacinto, California
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity delivering vital occupational therapy services to students from transitional kindergarten through 12th grade. Serving multiple sites in a vibrant educational community, you’ll be instrumental in supporting students’ accessibility, participation, and functional skill development through targeted intervention. This assignment starts August 6, 2026, and runs through February 12, 2027, with the possibility of extension.
As the dedicated OT across several school campuses, you’ll engage with a caseload of approximately 55 students, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to implement and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs). Your expertise will directly influence student outcomes and contribute to a welcoming, collaborative environment.
Desired Background & Expertise:
- Current, valid California Occupational Therapist licensure
- Proven experience in school-based OT, especially across diverse grade levels (TK-12)
- Strong background participating in or leading IEP meetings
- Familiarity with SEIS (Special Education Information System) highly preferred
- Comfort and proficiency with digital documentation and online platforms
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Flexibility for onsite support across multiple school locations
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group OT services based on students’ IEPs
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and monitor progress
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families as part of multidisciplinary teams
- Participate in and help guide IEP meetings, offering insights and recommendations
- Maintain complete and timely service records with accuracy and confidentiality
