Key Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license for Delaware or eligibility to obtain
- Experience in school-based OT preferred
- Familiarity with IEPs, therapeutic interventions, and adaptations for the school setting
- Strong communication and organizational abilities
- Compassion for working with children and diverse student populations
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ functional abilities and develop individualized treatment plans
- Deliver direct therapy services to students as outlined in IEPs, either individually or in small groups
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to support student goals
- Document progress, maintain records, and participate in IEP meetings as part of the multi-disciplinary team
- Recommend classroom modifications and adaptive equipment as needed
- Provide consultation, training, and resources to school staff
This is a contract position, requiring full-time hours over the entire academic year. The role offers the opportunity to work closely with dedicated educators and have meaningful input into students’ educational journeys.
