Occupational Therapist School Setting in Shingle Springs, CA

This full-time, full-school-year contract opportunity is ideal for an Occupational Therapist (OT) or an experienced Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) passionate about working within an educational setting. The position is itinerant, offering the chance to collaborate with multiple sites and diverse student populations ranging from mild to severe needs.
We welcome applications from COTAs with a strong background in school-based services; virtual OT supervision will be provided, but keep in mind all direct student services must be delivered in person. This role is designed for those who thrive in hands-on settings and enjoy adapting their skills to support a variety of learners.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist or experienced Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
- Demonstrated school-based experience, especially for COTAs
- Ability to work autonomously while receiving virtual OT supervision (COTAs)
- Skilled in managing a diverse caseload from mild to severe needs
- Comfortable traveling between school sites (itinerant role)
- Committed to providing all direct services on-site (remote-only applicants will not be considered)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct, in-person occupational therapy services to students with a variety of abilities
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to develop and implement individualized plans
- Maintain clear documentation and progress reporting in line with school and regulatory standards
- Adjust strategies to address evolving student needs across multiple locations
