School Occupational Therapist | Silver Spring, Maryland

Qualifications and Experience Sought:
- Current license to practice Occupational Therapy in Maryland (or eligibility)
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Prior experience in school-based OT settings highly preferred
- Familiarity with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and special education processes
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students in autism programs is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and design individualized therapy plans
- Deliver direct OT services to students as outlined in IEPs
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to facilitate student success
- Document progress and maintain thorough and compliant records
- Support students’ participation in academic, social, and daily living school activities
- Adapt techniques to meet a range of abilities and classroom needs
