This full-time role supports a robust district-wide program, serving approximately 40 students and working closely with educators and families. Experience a healthy work-life balance with a 4-day schedule from Monday to Thursday, 8AM-4PM.
Utilize your expertise to provide critical interventions and support student development in an engaging teletherapy and on-site environment. You’ll also use your leadership skills by supervising a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), ensuring quality care and teamwork.
Key Qualifications:
- Current Occupational Therapy license issued by the State of New Mexico (required)
- Experience providing occupational therapy services in educational or school settings
- Comfortable delivering both teletherapy and in-person OT services
- Ability to work across a broad age range, from early childhood through high school
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Leadership abilities to supervise and mentor a COTA
- Commitment to collaboration with teachers, admin, and families for student success
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based OT evaluations, interventions, and progress monitoring for students
- Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to diverse student needs
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with district and state requirements
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for holistic student support
- Consult with staff and families, providing resources and guidance to maximize student outcomes
- Oversee and guide the daily work of the assigned COTA, ensuring best practices
