About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate, collaborative, and student-focused Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our educational team in Sonora. The ideal candidate is passionate about helping students develop the skills needed to support academic success, independence, participation, and overall development.
This is a travel opportunity for qualified candidates. Tax-free housing and meal stipends may be available to eligible travelers who maintain dual housing and meet applicable IRS requirements.
Responsibilities
- Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and assessments for students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEP goals
- Provide direct and indirect occupational therapy services
- Address students' fine motor, gross motor, sensory processing, visual-motor, and functional skills
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, families, and administrators
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and compliance records
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Recommend and support appropriate adaptive equipment, accommodations, and strategies
- Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Valid California Occupational Therapy license or ability to obtain
- School-based experience preferred but not required
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary educational team
- Passion for supporting students and helping them achieve greater independence
