Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students’ growth and well-being near Tullahoma, TN. This role is ideal for a passionate Occupational Therapist seeking to make a meaningful impact in a school setting, working closely with multidisciplinary teams and directly guiding students through individualized interventions.
You’ll be providing in-person therapy and consultation across four different schools, focusing on both direct and consultative services for students with a variety of needs. The schedule is set for three days per week, seven hours per day, with the possibility of increased hours if referral volume grows. The assignment begins in the first week of February and runs through a week or two before the school year concludes, providing continuity and consistency for the students served.
Key Qualifications:
- Active OT licensure in Tennessee
- Previous school-based OT experience preferred
- Strong skills in conducting OT and sensory evaluations
- Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Organized and able to manage a diverse caseload at multiple sites
Primary Responsibilities:
- Administer assessments for students referred for OT or sensory evaluations, including those due for re-evaluation
- Attend IEP and student support meetings, contributing OT expertise to educational planning
- Deliver direct OT services to a caseload of 11 students across four schools, ensuring each student receives individualized support
- Provide consultation and guidance for 15-20 students, collaborating closely with teachers to enhance classroom participation and student success
- Support seamless transitions and carryover of strategies between home, school, and therapy sessions
