Key Qualifications:
- Holds an active North Carolina Occupational Therapist license
- Previous experience in a school-based setting is highly recommended
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Passion for encouraging student participation and helping them overcome barriers to learning
- Commitment to working onsite (remote or virtual options are not permitted)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ functional abilities and needs within the school environment
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in alignment with students’ IEP goals
- Provide direct therapy services supporting fine motor, sensory, and adaptive skill development
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to promote optimal student engagement
- Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
- Adapt interventions and strategies based on evolving student requirements
