What You’ll Do:
- Deliver both direct and consultative therapy tailored to students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments to identify unique needs and strengths
- Design and implement effective, individualized intervention plans to foster progress
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to ensure an integrated support system
- Provide expert input during IEP meetings and assist in developing measurable goals
- Maintain thorough documentation and ensure practices are compliant with state and district standards
- Promote student growth in areas such as fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily functional tasks
What We’re Looking For:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy
- Virginia state OT license or eligibility to obtain one
- Current NBCOT certification is essential
- While previous school-based experience is an asset, those eager to learn and adapt to educational settings are encouraged to apply
- Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach to working with diverse teams
