Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) for a full-time, school-based position in Suffolk, VA for the 2026-2027 school year. Position Details
- Location: Suffolk, VA
- Position: Occupational Therapist (OT)
- Dates: August 10, 2026 – June 4, 2027
- Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Occupational Therapist Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy evaluations and assessments for students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEP goals
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, administrators, and families
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and compliance records
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Support students with fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, visual motor integration, and classroom participation
- Recommend adaptive equipment and strategies to enhance student success
Qualifications
- Active Virginia Occupational Therapist License
- Master's or Doctorate Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
