Step into a dynamic role supporting students as a school-based Occupational Therapist on a full-time contract for the 25/26 school year. You will collaborate with educators and families to empower K-12 learners, using your expertise in therapy, assessments, and IEP participation to make a positive, lasting impact.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Hold a current and valid NV Occupational Therapy license
- Strong background in pediatric/educational Occupational Therapy
- Familiarity with therapy, assessments, and evaluations within a school setting
- Comfort working with a caseload of 50-55 students, ranging from elementary through secondary
- Excellent communication skills and ability to adapt to diverse needs
- Willingness to travel between 1-2 assigned locations within the district
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and indirect OT services according to students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Conduct assessments and participate in evaluation processes to support eligibility and program planning
- Develop and implement therapy interventions that address fine/gross motor skills, sensory needs, and daily living skills
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to maximize student participation and independence
- Maintain all required documentation and participate in IEP meetings and team consultations
- Integrate smoothly into the district’s chosen IEP system, with district-provided training and resources
- Leverage dedicated therapy space (when available) and participate in paid team meetings as part of your indirect service hours
