School Occupational Therapist - Syracuse, New York

Qualifications and Experience:
- Current licensure and certification as an Occupational Therapist
- Previous experience with school-based OT services strongly preferred
- Ability to interpret and implement IEPs
- Strong skills in assessment, documentation, and progress monitoring
- Excellent communication for collaborating with educators, families, and related service providers
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver one-on-one occupational therapy sessions to a 4th grade student, twice weekly (30 minutes each) in the Therapy room
- Conduct monthly OT consults (10 minutes)
- Provide therapy in accordance with the student’s IEP goals and requirements
- Record and maintain accurate service logs, track progress, and prepare required progress reports
- Participate in CSE meetings to share evaluations, progress, and recommendations
- Collaborate with teachers, teaching assistants, other service providers, and families to support student success
This role is initially scheduled for Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:30 to 3:00 p.m., with the opportunity to pick up additional hours as the caseload grows.
