Step into a rewarding contract position providing Occupational Therapy support to K-12 students near Talent, OR. This role is ideal for a passionate and collaborative Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) eager to foster student success and independence within educational settings.
As an integral part of a dynamic school-based therapy team, you will provide targeted interventions, monitor student progress, and adapt strategies to meet diverse educational needs. The assignment begins as soon as possible and extends through June 17, 2027, offering stability and the opportunity to make long-lasting impact. You will work with a manageable caseload across five days a week, with 37.5 hours dedicated to enriching young lives.
Key Qualifications:
- Current Oregon COTA license
- National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) certification
- School-based OT experience preferred, but motivated candidates seeking to transition into educational settings are encouraged to apply
- Compassionate communicator with the ability to collaborate with staff, students, and families
Responsibilities:
- Implement occupational therapy services as directed by an OT, supporting IEP goals for K-12 students
- Develop and adapt activity plans that promote student engagement and independence
- Maintain detailed, accurate records of therapy sessions and student progress
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive student support
- Communicate regularly with educators and families for optimal student outcomes
