Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license in Massachusetts
- Previous experience with pediatric or school-aged populations preferred
- Strong skills in evaluation, individualized goal setting, and the development of effective intervention plans
- Familiarity with IEPs and collaboration within multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication, organization, and time management abilities
- Flexibility to adapt interventions to meet the diverse needs of students
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and create tailored plans to address students’ fine motor, sensory, and self-care needs within the school setting
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students
- Document progress and maintain accurate therapy records in accordance with educational and legal standards
- Participate in IEP meetings, working closely with educators, families, and other professionals
- Provide training and resources for staff and caregivers to support student growth
- Use evidence-based practices and adapt strategies to fit various learning environments
