Virtual Occupational Therapist - Michigan

Provide occupational therapy services through telehealth and in-person settings to high school students (grades 9-12) within a school environment located in Dearborn Heights, MI. This full-time contract position focuses on supporting students by enhancing their functional abilities and promoting independence in academic and daily living tasks.

Responsibilities include:

• Conducting occupational therapy evaluations and developing individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs.
• Delivering therapy interventions via telehealth platforms and onsite sessions as appropriate.
• Collaborating with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to integrate therapy goals into educational programming.
• Maintaining clear, timely documentation and progress reporting in accordance with school and state regulations.
• Participating in eligibility meetings and contributing to Individualized Education Program (IEP) development.

Qualifications and experience desired:

• Valid Michigan Occupational Therapist license or compact license accepted.
• Proven experience providing OT services in school-based settings, preferably with high school populations.
• Ability to conduct telehealth therapy effectively alongside traditional in-person therapies.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with educational staff and families.
• Knowledge of federal and state regulations pertaining to special education and occupational therapy in schools.
