A contract opportunity is available for an Occupational Therapist specializing in telehealth services within a school setting. This role supports students in improving their motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities through virtual therapy sessions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting comprehensive evaluations and assessments remotely to develop individualized treatment plans
- Delivering teletherapy sessions that engage students effectively and adapt to their specific educational environments
- Collaborating with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student progress and integrate therapy goals into the academic curriculum
- Documenting treatment sessions, progress notes, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and school policies
Qualifications and experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapy licensure in the state of California
- Prior experience providing occupational therapy services in school settings, with demonstrated success in a telehealth format
- Strong communication skills to facilitate virtual sessions and coordinate care with school personnel remotely
- Ability to use telehealth technology platforms efficiently and troubleshoot common connectivity issues
- Familiarity with educational laws and guidelines, such as IDEA and IEP development, preferred
