Position Summary
We are seeking a passionate and highly organized Remote Intervention Specialist to support K–12 students throughout Louisiana during the 2026–2027 school year. The Intervention Specialist will provide virtual academic and behavioral interventions, monitor student progress, collaborate with educators and families, and help students achieve measurable growth through evidence-based support services.
This position is fully remote and requires strong communication skills, proficiency with virtual learning platforms, and the ability to build positive relationships with students in an online environment.
Essential Responsibilities
- Deliver virtual one-on-one and small-group academic interventions in reading, mathematics, and other core content areas.
- Support students requiring Tier II and Tier III interventions through RTI and MTSS frameworks.
- Conduct progress monitoring and maintain accurate student records and documentation.
- Analyze student performance data to inform instructional decisions and intervention plans.
- Collaborate virtually with teachers, administrators, related service providers, and families.
- Participate in IEP meetings, student support meetings, and parent conferences as needed.
- Develop and implement individualized intervention strategies tailored to student needs.
- Provide behavioral and social-emotional support strategies when appropriate.
- Maintain compliance with Louisiana educational requirements, school policies, and confidentiality standards.
- Attend virtual staff meetings, professional development sessions, and school events as required.
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
- Valid Louisiana teaching certification or eligibility for certification, if required by assignment.
- Experience supporting K–12 students through academic or behavioral interventions.
- Strong technology skills and experience using virtual learning platforms.
- Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and dedicated remote workspace.
Preferred
- Master's degree in Education, Special Education, School Counseling, or related field.
- Experience providing online instruction or virtual intervention services.
- Knowledge of RTI, MTSS, progress monitoring, and data-driven instruction.
- Familiarity with Louisiana educational standards and special education processes.
Technology Requirements
- High-speed internet access.
- Computer with webcam and microphone.
- Ability to navigate learning management systems, virtual meeting platforms, and student data systems.
- Secure home office environment suitable for confidential student interactions.
