Virtual Occupational Therapist - Maryland
An opportunity is available for an Occupational Therapist specializing in telehealth services within an educational setting. This role is fully remote, providing flexibility while delivering essential therapy to students.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting comprehensive occupational therapy assessments via a virtual platform.
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to each student’s needs.
- Collaborating with educators and families to support student progress.
- Utilizing interactive learning materials and telecommunication tools to facilitate therapy sessions.
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of all therapy services.
- Participating in ongoing training and using clinical and technical support resources.
Qualifications and desired experience:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with experience in school-based settings.
- Proficiency in telehealth platforms and virtual rehabilitation tools.
- Strong communication skills for effective engagement with students, parents, and school staff.
- Ability to manage and deliver therapy sessions using digital platforms including Zoom Pro.
- Familiarity with educational assessments and individualized education program (IEP) processes.
- Capacity to work independently within a contractual framework.
Location: This position is fully remote but requires availability within the Eastern Time zone to align with school schedules.
