About the Position
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to join a supportive school district near Temperanceville, Virginia. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work with students across a variety of grade levels, helping them develop the functional skills needed for success in the classroom and daily school activities. School-based OT roles in the area typically focus on evaluations, IEP services, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy services to students with a variety of educational needs.
- Conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal development.
- Deliver direct and consultative therapy services.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and special education staff.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports.
- Recommend adaptive equipment and classroom accommodations as needed.
Qualifications
- Master's or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Active Virginia Occupational Therapist license or eligibility for licensure.
- Previous pediatric or school-based experience preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
