Make a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners as a dedicated Occupational Therapist serving students from Pre-K through 5th grade. This full-time contract position offers you the chance to contribute your expertise in a supportive educational environment, providing essential services to help students unlock their potential.
You’ll work 37.5 hours per week, engaging with a diverse caseload in an elementary school setting. With three openings available, you’ll collaborate with other passionate professionals to deliver high-quality therapy and support that empowers students throughout their educational journey.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in Ohio (OH OT license required)
- Experience or genuine interest in working with elementary-aged children (Pre-K through 5th grade preferred)
- Ability to adapt therapy plans to meet the unique needs of each student
- Strong interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with students, parents, and staff
- Collaborative spirit and willingness to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Previous experience in a school-based or educational setting is an asset
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, plan, and implement individualized OT intervention for assigned students
- Collaborate with families, teachers, and other school professionals to create supportive learning environments
- Document progress and maintain accurate student records
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal development
- Educate school staff about OT best practices and accommodations for diverse learners
