Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Active NM state licensure (NMRLD) and NMPED certification (or ability to secure NMPED promptly)
- Experience in a school setting, working with preschool to high school ages
- Open to OTs and COTAs (must be willing to supervise COTA(s) as needed)
- Flexibility and willingness to travel between multiple schools within the district
- Dedication to supporting a diverse student population and collaborating with staff and families
- Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services in accordance with students’ IEPs
- Assess, plan, and implement individualized intervention strategies to enhance student participation and success
- Supervise and mentor COTAs, ensuring consistent quality of care and support
- Document services and progress in compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with educational teams
- Travel to multiple school sites as assigned to serve caseload needs
