Shape the school year as a contract Occupational Therapist in a supportive educational environment near Verdi, NV. This position offers an engaging opportunity to work across 1-2 school locations within a district-wide role, focusing on students in both elementary and secondary settings. With a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week, you’ll maintain a balanced caseload of 50-55 students and perform a variety of traditional OT responsibilities.
Requirements
- Current and valid NV OT License
- Experience working with school-aged children, including assessments and direct therapy
- Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation
- Comfortable traveling between 1-2 school sites if required
- Ability to manage a dynamic caseload while maintaining strong organizational skills
- Flexibility to work in district-wide settings across elementary and secondary student groups
Role Responsibilities
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students according to IEP goals
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to support student learning and participation
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and family members as part of the special education team
- Engage in the IEP process, documenting progress and participating in meetings as needed
- Adapt interventions and activities to meet a diverse range of student abilities and needs
- Travel between assigned school locations as needed to provide consistent service
