Desired Qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapist license in Nevada
- Previous experience in a school-based setting or with pediatric populations
- Strong understanding of IEP processes and documentation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with students, teachers, and families
- Ability to adapt therapeutic interventions to meet the diverse needs of a school caseload
- Creative problem solver with patience and empathy
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students
- Collaborate closely with teachers, special education staff, and parents to design and implement effective interventions
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students, both individually and in small groups
- Document progress, prepare and maintain accurate records, and contribute to IEP meetings
- Provide training and support to school staff to ensure accommodations are integrated within the classroom setting
- Foster a positive and inclusive school environment, helping students develop essential skills for academic and personal success
