Occupational Therapist - School Setting
Are you a passionate Occupational Therapist (OT) looking for a travel school-based position in Virginia Beach? We are seeking a dedicated Travel OT to join a supportive educational team for a full-time, full school year assignment working primarily with an autism caseload.
This is a fantastic opportunity for clinicians who enjoy making a meaningful impact while exploring a new location.
Responsibilities include providing speech and language therapy services to students with autism and related communication disorders, conducting evaluations, assessments, and ongoing progress monitoring, and developing as well as implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). The role also involves collaborating with teachers, special education staff, and families, maintaining detailed and compliant therapy documentation and reports, and utilizing evidence-based practices to improve students’ communication outcomes.
Qualifications
- Active or eligible Virginia Occupational Therapist license
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
- School-based or pediatric experience, especially with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
