Key qualifications and desired experience:
- Must have a valid Occupational Therapy (OT) license in WA
- Previous experience working in a school setting preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to develop and implement IEP goals and therapy plans
- Familiarity with documentation and compliance requirements in an educational context
Responsibilities include:
- Conduct thorough assessments of students’ motor, sensory, and functional abilities to determine therapy needs
- Develop and deliver individualized therapy interventions in alignment with IEPs
- Consult and strategize with teachers, aides, and parents to support student progress
- Maintain accurate records for all services, evaluations, and communications as required by the school system
- Attend IEP meetings and contribute expert input as part of the student’s educational team
- Adjust and adapt interventions based on individual progress and classroom dynamics
