Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license in North Carolina
- Previous experience in school settings preferred
- Background working with K-12th grade students a plus
- Ability to adapt interventions to a diverse population
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Collaborative approach to working with educators, parents, and support teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in accordance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Complete comprehensive assessments, develop goals, and maintain documentation
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and other professionals to integrate therapy strategies into students’ daily routines
- Offer guidance and training to school staff and families regarding therapeutic supports
- Monitor student progress and adjust plans as needed
- Stay current with best practices in pediatric and school-based therapy
