Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Valid and current Occupational Therapist (OT) license for the state of Ohio
- Previous experience in school-based OT settings strongly preferred
- Background in home health and healthcare OT services considered an asset
- Ability to effectively assess, plan, and deliver therapy to elementary through high school students
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with teachers, families, and support staff
- Organizational skills to document and track progress for caseload of 24 students
- Commitment to fostering inclusive and supportive educational environments
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to assigned K-12 students in accordance with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Conduct targeted assessments, develop intervention plans, and regularly track student progress
- Collaborate with classroom educators, specialists, and families to ensure optimum support
- Balance quarterly service time (3,090 minutes) efficiently for impactful therapy sessions
- Provide recommendations for classroom modifications and adaptive strategies
- Engage actively in multidisciplinary team meetings as required
