Key Qualifications:
- Active Delaware OT license with full compliance to supervise up to two Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs)
- Demonstrated experience overseeing COTA performance and assisting in professional development
- Comprehensive understanding of teletherapy best practices within school settings
- Commitment to handling evaluations and attending required tri-annual IEP meetings virtually
- Familiarity with all Delaware occupational therapy and educational requirements
Core Responsibilities:
- Evaluate student needs and develop individualized therapy plans using a virtual platform
- Supervise COTAs, providing mentorship and guidance to ensure quality service delivery
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to all legal/ethical standards
- Participate virtually in tri-annual IEP meetings, collaborating with educators and families
- Complete all necessary compliance requirements, including a contractor packet and background checks
Important Process Details:
- All candidates are required to cover the $85 cost for a CBC fingerprinting check as part of the onboarding process
- Prior to beginning, completion and submission of a district-provided contractor packet is required (typically reviewed within 5 business days)
- Badge appointment needed following contractor packet approval
