This position focuses on delivering Occupational Therapy services to two supportive middle schools, with the possibility of an elementary school assignment as the year evolves. Key Qualifications:
- Hold an active Occupational Therapist license in Virginia
- School-based OT experience is highly desirable
- Available to work approximately 20 hours per week (exact schedule to be determined)
- Quickly initiate credentialing requirements, including a VA Department of Social Services check and TB test
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with staff, students, and families
- Committed to supporting a diverse adolescent population
Your Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative OT services to a caseload of 25 students (10 direct, 15 consult)
- Collaborate with teachers and other team members to develop and implement effective therapy plans
- Assess student abilities and adapt interventions as needs evolve over the school year
- Document services and outcomes according to school and state guidelines
- Potential to orient new staff or support evaluations as required
