Your impact will reach two middle schools—with a primary focus on direct interventions for 10 students and consultative services for an additional 15. Collaborate closely with a supportive team, including direct engagement with the program director and Lead OT, to design and deliver individualized, student-centered interventions. As the academic year progresses, some evaluative assessments may be required.
Qualifications:
- Current, valid Occupational Therapy license for Virginia
- Experience in a school setting or with school-aged pediatric populations preferred
- Commitment to completing immediate credentialing steps (VA Dept. of Social Services check, VA TB Test)
- Strong collaboration, documentation, and communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services according to IEPs and student needs
- Develop interventions to foster functional, academic, and behavioral growth
- Participate in team meetings and collaborate with school staff and families
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation for service delivery and progress
- Conduct evaluations as needed during the school year
