Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver both direct and indirect occupational therapy services aligned with students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Perform comprehensive evaluations and assessments to identify student needs
- Develop and execute individualized treatment plans to address unique challenges
- Work in partnership with educators, special education staff, and families to support student progress
- Maintain precise documentation and ensure compliance with state and district policies
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing valuable input for developing student goals
- Assist students in developing fine motor skills, sensory processing abilities, and essential daily living skills
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy
- Current Virginia OT license, or eligibility to obtain one
- NBCOT certification required
- School-based experience strongly preferred but not mandatory
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach
Schedule:
- Full-time contract, approximately 37.5 hours per week
- Follows the traditional school calendar with holidays and breaks observed
