Desired Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid Occupational Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant certification or licensure, meeting state requirements
- Experience in any of the following: school-based OT services, home health OT, general healthcare OT, or OT teletherapy
- Ability to effectively design and implement individualized treatment plans for students with various needs
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with educators, families, and other multidisciplinary team members
- Flexibility and adaptability to work across different educational settings and with diverse student populations
- Familiarity with documentation practices for IEPs and student progress reporting
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments to determine students’ functional needs within the educational environment
- Develop and execute targeted intervention strategies to support student learning and participation
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services in-person, at home, or virtually as needed
- Maintain accurate progress notes and contribute to IEP development
- Consult with teachers, support staff, and families to embed therapeutic strategies into daily routines
- Participate in necessary meetings, ensuring the highest level of collaboration and advocacy for each student
