Full-Time Opportunity (30-32.5 hrs/week):
Step into a vital backfill position, primarily working with elementary grade students. Manage a diverse caseload of 35-40 students, with most receiving support for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and a range of other diagnoses. You’ll have the chance to partner with multidisciplinary teams, tailoring interventions to meet individualized needs and fostering success in the classroom.
Part-Time Availability (12-15 hrs/week):
Prefer a flexible schedule? Provide occupational therapy services within a single school building, with hours designed to fit your personal and professional needs. This role allows you to focus your expertise in a consistent environment, supporting students and staff directly.
What We’re Looking For:
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in New York State
- Previous experience in a school setting strongly preferred
- Comfortable with a diverse caseload, particularly supporting students with ASD
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to assess, develop, and implement individualized intervention plans
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services to elementary-aged students
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other specialists to promote student growth
- Document progress and participate in IEP meetings as needed
- Implement evidence-based strategies to foster independence and participation
