Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) | 2026–2027 School Year

Location: Lynn, MA
Position Type: Part-Time | School-Based
Schedule: 2 Days per Week
Student Population: K–8
Caseload: Approximately 10–12 Students
Compensation: $30–$38 per hour (based on experience)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join a supportive school-based team in Lynn, MA. This part-time opportunity offers the chance to work with a small K–8 caseload while collaborating closely with educators, therapists, and families to support student success.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping students develop the skills necessary to participate successfully in their educational environment.

Responsibilities

• Implement occupational therapy treatment plans under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
• Provide direct therapy services to K–8 students
• Maintain accurate service documentation and progress notes
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff
• Support student participation and success in the classroom environment
• Assist with tracking progress toward IEP goals

Qualifications
Required

• Active Massachusetts COTA License
• Associate's Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program

Preferred

• Previous school-based experience
• Experience working with pediatric populations
• Strong communication and organizational skills
