Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active COTA license in Pennsylvania
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting is strongly preferred
- Knowledge of individualized education plans (IEPs) and related documentation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with families, educators, and other therapists
- Ability to travel between schools within Bethlehem and surrounding areas
- Flexibility and adaptability to support various age ranges and needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely under the direction of occupational therapists to implement targeted intervention plans
- Assist students with fine motor skills, sensory strategies, self-care, and access to learning environments
- Contribute to ongoing assessments and maintain detailed daily documentation
- Support and consult with classroom teachers and staff regarding student needs and progress
- Facilitate carryover of therapy strategies within classroom routines
- Participate in IEP meetings and offer insights to improve goal attainment
