Key Qualifications:
- Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) with active credential
- Previous experience within a school setting or with pediatric populations preferred
- Strong knowledge of occupational therapy interventions for children and adolescents
- Skilled at working under the guidance of an Occupational Therapist to implement treatment plans
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Organization and flexibility to adapt to a diverse student caseload
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver therapy services to students in accordance with IEP/504 plans under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
- Assist in developing activities that promote independence in school and daily living skills
- Participate in team meetings, consultations, and documentation for student progress
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate therapy goals into the classroom
- Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and session notes
- Support multitiered systems of support and positive behavioral interventions as needed
