Desired Qualifications:
- Active certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Previous experience working in a school setting or with children/teens is highly preferred
- Ability to manage a varied caseload spanning Kindergarten through 12th grade
- Comfort with traveling between multiple school sites
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Familiarity with IEPs, documentation requirements, and goal-directed interventions
Responsibilities:
- Assist in implementing student-specific occupational therapy plans under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
- Provide direct services to students individually and in groups to promote fine motor, sensory, and adaptive skills
- Support data collection, progress monitoring, and documentation for assigned students
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to ensure continuity of care and support
- Adapt and modify activities to encourage participation in the school environment
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to evaluation and re-evaluation processes
