School-Based Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - Cambridge, Massachusetts

Looking to make a difference in a school community as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for the 2026-2027 academic year? We are seeking a dedicated professional to provide support and therapeutic interventions for students in the Stoneham, MA area. This contract opportunity offers the chance to join a collaborative educational team and work a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week.
Qualifications:
- Current and valid Massachusetts COTA license required
- Previous experience in a school setting or with pediatric populations preferred
- Strong understanding of school-based occupational therapy practices
- Effective communication and organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate with OTs, educators, families, and other school personnel
Responsibilities:
- Assist with implementing students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
- Deliver direct and consultative therapy services within small group and individual settings
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings as needed
- Adapt and support classroom activities to promote students' participation and independence
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve student goals and maximize learning opportunities
