What we’re looking for:
- Hold current state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Experience (or strong interest) working with pediatric clients, ideally in a school setting
- Ability to collaborate with supervising Occupational Therapists and educational staff
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Adaptability and enthusiasm for working across diverse school populations
- Commitment to fostering student independence and participation in school life
Day-to-day responsibilities:
- Assist in implementing individualized therapy plans for students under direction of an Occupational Therapist
- Support students in developing fine motor, sensory processing, and adaptive skills necessary for classroom participation
- Maintain accurate records and progress notes as required by district policies and best practice
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and school personnel to address student needs and maximize therapeutic impact
- Participate in team meetings, IEPs, and ongoing professional development
