As a key member of the school-based therapy team, you will work a steady 37.5 hours per week, providing essential support and therapeutic interventions for a caseload of approximately 40 students. Your work will help children access their education and develop skills for greater independence.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Active state licensure or eligibility for licensure as required
- Experience in school-based settings preferred, with strong understanding of K-12 student needs
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation abilities
- Compassion, adaptability, and a passion for empowering students
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and indirect therapeutic services to support IEP goals
- Collaborate with occupational therapists, special education staff, teachers, and families
- Collect data, monitor progress, and document services in accordance with school protocols
- Assist in developing student programs and accommodations
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to ongoing assessments
