Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - Holyoke, MA
Step into an exciting contract opportunity as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) supporting PreK–12th grade students for the upcoming school year. With anticipated needs in a dynamic educational setting, this floater role offers hands-on experience across multiple sites, making every week engaging and impactful.
This position is set to begin in early September of 2026 and will run through late June of 2027, providing consistent part-time hours—currently set at 29 hours per week with the possibility of adjustment to 30 hours if needed. As a floater COTA, you’ll collaborate with educational teams and serve diverse student populations, contributing to student success and growth across the district. Caseload details are to be determined, but you will enjoy a varied schedule between several locations, ensuring a stimulating professional environment.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Experience working with school-aged children, preferably across PreK–12th grade
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to adapt to multiple school settings and effectively manage a varied caseload
- Commitment to fostering student independence and developmental growth
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and implement therapist-directed occupational therapy plans
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to ensure cohesive service delivery
- Travel between schools as scheduled, providing services in multiple educational environments
- Maintain accurate records and assist with documentation as required
