A unique contract opportunity is available for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support Pre K–12th grade students as a floater throughout the upcoming school year. This role offers a rewarding way to make a positive impact, working across multiple sites and grade levels as a valued member of an educational care team. The caseload will be finalized closer to the start date, allowing for dynamic collaboration and flexibility.
Position Highlights:
- Contract role for the full 2026-2027 school year (September 3, 2026 – June 24, 2027)
- 29 hours per week (potential to increase to 30 hours—open to discussion)
- Serve Pre K through 12th grade students
- Support students at three educational sites with a schedule including 4 hours weekly at one location and 2 days a week at each of the other two
- Exact caseload details to be determined
Qualifications:
- Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) with eligibility for Massachusetts licensure
- Previous experience working with school-aged children, especially in Pre K–12 settings, preferred
- Flexibility to adjust to different sites, schedules, and caseloads as needed
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Passion for supporting the growth and development of diverse learners
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct occupational therapy services to students as directed by onsite occupational therapists
- Collaborate with educational staff and families
- Manage required documentation and student progress reports
- Adapt interventions and strategies for a diverse student population across multiple school sites
