Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in Arizona
- Current (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card (AZ IVP FPCC)
- Previous experience in a school setting as a COTA is preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt therapy plans to meet students’ diverse needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students as outlined in IEPs
- Implement evidence-based interventions to facilitate student participation in school activities
- Document all services and student progress according to district and federal requirements
- Work in partnership with Occupational Therapists, teachers, families, and other school professionals
- Support students in developing fine motor, sensory, and self-care skills to enhance their independence in the classroom
- Attend IEP meetings, team conferences, and professional development as required
