Qualifications:
- Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in Ohio
- Experience working in a school-based or pediatric setting is preferred
- Ability to create supportive, inclusive learning environments
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal skills for building positive relationships with students, staff, and families
Responsibilities:
- Implement therapy plans under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
- Support students in developing fine motor, sensory, and self-help skills for classroom success
- Document progress and maintain accurate records according to school policies
- Collaborate regularly with teachers, therapists, and family members to ensure best outcomes
- Assist with the assessment and modification of classroom tools, equipment, and activities to support student needs
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute valuable input regarding student progress
