Qualifications and Requirements:
- Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in Ohio
- Prior experience working with children or adolescents, preferably in a school setting
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly and professionally with students, staff, and families
- Familiarity with IEPs and ability to implement customized interventions
- Ability to manage a dynamic caseload with organization and flexibility
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Delivering direct and indirect occupational therapy services under the supervision of a licensed OT
- Supporting student participation in daily school activities and helping them develop fine motor, sensory, and self-help skills
- Maintaining accurate records, documenting progress, and assisting with IEP documentation
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective interventions
- Engaging in ongoing professional development and maintaining adherence to best practices
