- Active certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Prior experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
- Knowledge of evidence-based occupational therapy techniques
- Ability to collaborate with occupational therapists, teachers, and other staff members
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Current state licensure (or eligibility for licensure)
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services under the guidance and supervision of an Occupational Therapist
- Assist students in developing functional skills for classroom participation
- Contribute to the implementation of IEP goals and support documentation requirements
- Adapt activities and materials to meet diverse student needs
- Participate in team meetings and communicate progress with staff and families
- Help maintain accurate records of services and student progress
