Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid COTA licensure in California is required
- Experience working in a school or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong collaborative skills, with the ability to work effectively alongside occupational therapists, educators, and other school staff
- Flexible and adaptive, able to tailor interventions to meet diverse student needs
- Commitment to supporting student independence and functional skill development
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy services under the supervision of the occupational therapist within the school environment
- Collaborate with educators and families to support academic and functional skills
- Create and implement activities that address students’ goals as outlined in IEPs
- Document progress and participate in student meetings and planning sessions
- Support the development and maintenance of adaptive equipment when needed
- Foster a positive and motivating environment that helps students achieve their potential
