Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Associate’s degree from an accredited occupational therapy assistant program
- Current certification as a COTA
- Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as required
- Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
- Ability to adapt therapy activities to a diverse range of student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct treatment to students under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
- Assist with assessment and documentation of student progress toward IEP goals
- Support students in developing fine motor, sensory processing, and daily living skills
- Collaborate with educators and families to implement relevant strategies in the classroom
- Contribute to IEP meetings with therapy updates and insight
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with school and district policies
