What You’ll Bring:
- Active COTA license in Arizona (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of occupational therapy principles and interventions for children
- Ability to implement treatment plans designed by an Occupational Therapist
- Excellent communication skills for working with students, families, and interdisciplinary team members
- Adaptability to work with diverse caseloads and changing school environments
- Organizational skills for documentation and maintaining records per school guidelines
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Assist in conducting therapy sessions for students with varying abilities, focusing on helping them participate fully in academic and daily school activities
- Carry out planned interventions and activities under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
- Collaborate with educators, special education teams, and families to support IEP goals and classroom participation
- Track progress, maintain proper documentation, and participate in team meetings as needed
- Assist with screenings and assessments as directed, ensuring compliance with school and state protocols
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current on best practices in the field
