Qualifications and Experience:
- Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Active COTA certification and state licensure (or eligibility to obtain)
- Prior experience in a school setting or pediatric care preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic educational environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement individualized and group therapy sessions under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
- Assist students in developing fine motor, coordination, and adaptive skills to support classroom success
- Document progress and maintain accurate records in accordance with school and district guidelines
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student goals and accommodations
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of personalized intervention plans
- Maintain a supportive, positive attitude with students and school colleagues
